Gratuities, Beverages, overnight parking, occupancy taxes, Californian Tourism Assessment taxes, you name it taxes and add ons are all added to your bill unless you make it clear you want an all in deal / rate, so don't blame the MDTV for promoting any hotel or restaurant that does this.
